Emil Brinch Kvartet feat. Niels HP
Der er lagt op til en aften med swingende soul på den store scene på domkirkepladsen, når Emil Brinch Kvartet får selskab af den karismatiske sanger Niels HP. Repertoiret spænder over soul-jazz standards og HP’s egne numre – med masser af rytme og nærvær.
Niels HP er kendt som en af Danmarks stærkeste soulstemmer med rødder i både Motown, Latin og RnB. Publikum kan således se frem til at møde og opleve en sanger med sprudlende spilleglæde og tekster og kompositioner med noget på hjerte. Der bliver leget og groovet. Soul/R&B med jazz i ascendanten.
Niels HP bliver ofte nævnt som en af de mest interessante soulsangere, vi har herhjemme, hvor han har været med til at sætte en høj standard inden for genren. Han har turneret med navne som Hanne Boel og DR Bigband, samt optrådt som solist i diverse konstellationer i ind og udland.
Med dyb inspiration hentet hos bl.a Stevie Wonder og Donny Hathaway, har Niels HP med sin rytmiske, legende vokal vundet mange hjerter ved sine koncerter i både ind- og udland.

An evening of swinging soul is planned for on the big stage at the cathedral square when the Emil Brinch Quartet is joined by the charismatic singer Niels HP. The repertoire spans soul-jazz standards and HP’s own numbers – with plenty of rhythm and real presence.
Niels HP is known as one of Denmark’s strongest soul voices with roots in both Motown, Latin and RnB. The audience can look forward to meeting and experiencing a singer with exuberant joy of playing and lyrics and compositions with something on the mind. Playing and grooving – soul/R&B with jazz in the ascendant.
Niels HP is often mentioned as one of the most interesting soul singers we have in Denmark, where he has contributed to setting a high standard within the genre. He has toured with names such as Hanne Boel and DR Bigband, and has performed as a soloist in various constellations at home and abroad.
With deep inspiration drawn from, among others, Stevie Wonder and Donny Hathaway, Niels HP has won many hearts with his rhythmic, playful vocals at his concerts both at home and abroad.
