Trace of Toots – feat. Jacob Venndt
Billet 175 kr – billetter.ribejazz.dk
Line up
Jacob Venndt – mundharpe, tenorguitar mm.
Morten Haugshøj – guitar
Thomas Sejthen – kontrabas
koncerten. Skal bestilles på forhånd på Ribe Bryghus

Among other things, exquisite harmonica playing will be at the centre at the local brewery on Friday evening, where “Trace of Toots” with the equilibrist harmonica player Jacob Venndt in the front performs with music and numbers by, among others, Toots Thielemans.
“Between a smile and a tear”, said the legendary Toots Thielemans in Niels Lan Doky’s film of the same name from 2005, and the phrase is a beautiful and poetic explanation of where in the music Thielemans loved to be in terms of mood when he played his harmonica.
This poetic trace and Toot’s seductive and light approach to music form the framework and starting point for the project “A Trace of Toots”, which, with harmonica player and multi-instrumentalist Jacob Venndt at the helm, is on the trail of the chromatic harmonica legend and his influence not only on Venndt’s own harmonica playing and compositions, but on so many other harmonica players and musicians in general all over the world.
Line up
Jacob Venndt – harmonica, tenor guitar
Morten Haugshøj – guitar
Thomas Sejthen – double bass
It will be possible to enjoy a light jazz meal before the concert.
